Operation method of biotextile:
Like a filter, the material allows water to pass through but retains earth particles. After a while, a natural layer forms, the first vegetation appears, the soil is structured and strengthened. Fertilization of plants continues for several years.
Biomat BT-SO is used to protect steep (30º and more) slopes of earthworks and embankments, composed of sandy and clayey soils. But it is also effective for flat surfaces.
The material consists of two layers made on the basis of biodegradable jute fiber. The density of the upper layer is 200 g/m², of the lower one - 250 g/m². Between the layers, a mixture of herbs for reclamation, with fertilizers and seeds of perennial plants, is laid in a dense embankment. The composition of the seed mixture filling the biomat depends both on the climatic conditions of the area of use and on the type of technogenic landscape.

The material is completely environmentally friendly. The composition contains exclusively biodegradable components participating in the natural cycle of substances.
Jute is one of the fibrous (bast) plants. It grows in warm and humid climates with relatively high temperatures (above 24 °c). Grows in the subtropical regions of Asia, mainly in India and Bangladesh.
Jute is prized for its low growing costs and high yields. Prices for jute fiber are 2-3 times lower than for flax. The main advantage is its natural origin. The fiber is completely decomposed in the soil, enriching it with useful elements, thereby contributing to the intensive growth of seeds in the composition of the nonwoven fabric. It can also be noted that when burned, jute fibers do not emit any harmful substances.
